Adios Slimming Pills UK Review

Adios Slimming Pills

adiosAdios is a well-known brand of slimming pill in UK through TV advertisements. Every weight loss aspirant knows Adios as these are available at Boots, Superdrug, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Lloyds, Rowlands Pharmacy, Holland & Barrett and at many other places too.

They come in a nice bright green box with the words Adios boldly printed on the top, front and sides. (Pink boxes for Adios Max)

At e-bay people sell these for below £5. (Does cheap mean “effective” to people?)

Does Adios really work?

Adios are herbal diet pills. Let’s look at the ingredient list first. Adios is made of 4 main ingredients:

  • Butternut Tree extract (or White Walnut tree that is native to eastern USA )
  • Dandelion Root: It is sometimes used as an appetite stimulant and is also used to treat some digestive disorders. The root contains bitter glycosides, tannins, triterpenes, sterols, volatile oil, choline, asparagin, and inulin. It stimulates digestion and is laxative.
  • Dry extract of Boldo: Boldo (evergreen shrub which is native to Chile) is known to relieve excess fluids and so is a diuretic.
  • Dry extract of Fucus: Fucus is a brown seaweed (alga) that can be found on coasts of the Atlantic. This is said to increase metabolic rate.

If you look at the ingredients and how do they function, you can notice some interesting things:

  1. Adios has Appetite Stimulants (Not suppressants) and stimulating digestion also can make you hungry very often.
  2. One of the ingredient is diuretic (you might lose water weight) and laxative (might cause Diarrhoea)
  3. Adios do have metabolism booster seaweed but considering above two points, adios are less likely to help you lose weight with moderate dieting and exercising.

If you can follow a strict low calorie diet (you might feel more than normal hunger as Adios has appetite stimulant) and do rigorous exercise, then you would be able to lose weight while on Adios.

You need to drink plenty of water if you go for these pills to prevent dehydration and weakness as you need to exercise more.

But the question is if you can follow a strict low calorie diet and do rigorous exercise, do you really need any diet pills to lose weight?

Adios side effects:

Adios should not cause serious side effects, but users have reported Headache, Diarrhoea, weakness while taking Adios. Those who have nut allergy might get (less likely) affected by Butternut tree extract.

What users and diet experts say about Adios?

Most of the users say they go for loo many more times than usual when on Adios. They have also reported weakness, headache and feeling of being drained.

Whoever lost noticeable weight with Adios says “he/she used to have plenty of water, followed low-fat dieting and rigorous exercising while on Adios” – This doesn’t mean Adios is responsible for the weight loss. Probably rigorous exercising and dieting could be the reason for their weight loss.

Diet experts are saying, “With Adios dieters are not losing fat, what they are losing is water weight which lead dehydration that brings weakness, headaches etc.”

Bottomline:

We must appreciate Adios for clearly mentioning the fact – “When taken as part of a calorie-controlled diet with exercise, Adios can lead to weight loss”. Diet pill companies rarely do this.

But we hesitate to recommend this product looking at user feedback and its ingredients. We don’t think dieters just look for cheap diet pills; they want them to be effective for which they are ready to spend more.

In UK we have all types of diet pills that really work

When promising diet pills with sound clinical backing are available at reasonable prices, going for Adios doesn’t look like a wise decision.

I hate to say it but it is a placebo and I feel embarassed to say I purchased them, nothing has happened, I stopped taking them as they gave me a headache dry mouth and ulcers. Not using them and working out is doing better than taking them the weight never came off and I kept getting cramp.
These really aren;t good and I feel like scremaing at the manufacturers about it, it really is a rip off.

      Hello
Today, 12 July 2010, I have started taking Adios Max. I’m only using this a way to ‘lean up’. I do think you being a size 10 is nothing to worry about, as long as the proportions are right. What you need to do is still eat healthily as you’ve been doing, but take on more cardio work, this will help burn the fat – if you have any. With a higher metabolic rate the fat will drop off, but it would never drop off over night, it’ll take at least 2 months. A good fat burner cardio work out is an exercise bike. A good half hour ride will def burn at least 250 calories. I’m sure you look fab as a size 10 so don’t knock yourself – ok!
