Since the 1980’s, running for 45 minutes at a time at the gym has been the standard strategy for losing weight.
However one new technique, ‘metabolic conditioning’ may be the key to helping slimmer’s to benefit from fast, more effective dress size reduction.
Popular since 2008, metabolic weight training essentially causes your metabolic rate to continue burning fat for over 48 hours after you have completed your session – essentially giving you 48 hours longer than traditional exercise routines|an additional 48 hours per session to shift those excess lbs.
How does it work?
Metabolic weight training fundamentally involves following high power interval workouts on top of muscle training, across your entire body. So unlike traditional muscle training where you identify specific muscle pairings, metabolic weight trainings develops your entire body as well as utilises running and resting periods.
It is important to note, however, that before you begin this type of training that you contact a professional gym instructor. They can school you how to safely workout with these weights, prepare your muscles and give your muscles time to recoup so you don’t risk your long term health.
Similarly, if you are not used to this type of exercising intensity, it is important that you build up your stamina levels steadily to make sure your muscles can cope.
Make the choice to start with high intensity workouts straight away, and you’ll be more prone to quitting and returning to your normal training plan.

Nice post…Fast metabolism Just the sound of that phrase makes you visualizing a rock hard, Lean Body. And the frequent eating with a good workout is the best way to turbo charge your metabolism
These high intensity intervals release leutenizing hormone for hours after you train. This means you not only burn calories during your training, you burn more calories afterward while your sitting at home too! What a great investment!
Good information about increasing metabolic rate. The other important part about training with weights apart from increased metabolism is the fact that when most people try to lose weight they burn calories through cardiovascular exercise. There is no doubt that prolonged cardio work will burn calories and fat will be lost. However there will be muscle loss as well, and this is not so good.
The body needs to use plenty of calories to keep muscle on the body, this means when muscle is being lost the body does not have to use so many calories, and this often means that the calories that you eat will not be used to sustain the muscle that you used to have, many of them will be stored as fat. Training with weights minimises muscle loss when you are trying to lose weight. So if anyone is after losing weight, then weight training should definitely be part of your exercise program!
Thank you for the information you have shared. We can never really forget the importance of one’s health. I also wanted to lose weight. I tried dieting, exercise and training. For a certain time, I was able to have the body that I wanted. However, it came to a point where the belly fats would not go away no matter how much I exercised. I stumbled upon the idea where it say what you eat is what you are. We have to take into consideration the calorie that we are taking into our bodies. It is about calorie consumption to make it a fat burning mode.
No one should ever go on a diet just to lose weight. A diet to lose FAT is the diet to get on but one must be willing to exercise to keep from losing muscle. One should keep measurements of the fat lost and not the weight lost since muscle weighs more than fat. It is possible to weigh more while losing fat because your muscles will be getting stronger and more dense.
