Can DIet Coke Really Help You to Lose Weight?

Is Diet Coke better than the regular carbonated beverages? Diet Coke can help you lose weight? To start with, you have to understand clearly that Diet Coke is also a carbonated beverage but it may have lesser calories than other carbonated drinks. It is also believed that artificial sweeteners can be good for health to a certain extent and it will not cause tooth decay.

Water is a natural way to suppress your appetite and it is an important way to burn off the stored fat, leading to reduce weight. Drink pure filtered water in the morning and remember to drink water all day long. If you really cannot bear the taste of water, try using flavored waters available on the market, but don’t get addicted to them. Avoid sodas, sugar or sweetener.

But how much water is enough to lose weight? The standard recommendation is to drink water up to eight 8-oz glasses a day. But it depends on your weight as well and the amount of work or physical labor you do. You have to regularly rotate your meals and drinking a lot of water, fooling your metabolism, in order to keep it running high and burning a lot of fat.

The regular soda or diet coke may increase your waist circumference, so it really may not help you lose weight. Research shows that people may have around 30 percent chance of developing metabolic syndrome, which limits your body’s natural ability to lose weight. Drinking at least 9 – 10 glasses of water every day as it a natural way to lower the intensity of toxics in your body from the impurities caused by eating junk food or drinking alcohol. You will feel better at the end of the day and will be able to sleep well.

So even if you drink, for instance, three 12-ounce cans of Diet Coke every day, compared to the regular sugar-added one, you are just not allowing yourself to in-take 480 calories a day. So you are still drinking some amount of calories in one form or the other. Taking-in less calories through a soda is not better than taking in calories through natural food items.

Conclusion:

Both coke and diet coke contains carbonated calories; diet coke contains less calories. So it won’t help you to lose weight. However, it can help you from gaining weight. Most importantly reducing calorie intake is not the right solution for weight loss! Calorie shifting is the right solution!
