Getting rid of Food Addiction

Food Addiction? Let’s Get Rid of it!

One of my friends who is a doctor once told me that his patients ask him about how to get rid of food addiction? And I asked him, what does he recommend? My friend said, he simply asks them to drink a lot of water, exercise a bit and avoid cooking fancy meals. Eating salad and avoiding red meat are couple of other suggestions that a physician may give you.

Your diet menu must mainly include easy-to-prepare foods such as food containing deli meats, nuts and fruits, which don’t require any special cooking. You will also have to drink a lot of water during a day and use a specific rotation of carb and protein rich meals, which would be based on your diet plan.

It is better that you drink a lot of water or unsweetened tea while you are on a diet. Water is a natural way to suppress your appetite and it is an important way to burn off the stored fat, leading to reduce weight. Drink pure filtered water in the morning and remember to drink water all day long.

If you really cannot bear the taste of water, try using flavored waters available on the market, but don’t get addicted to them. Avoid sodas, sugar or sweetener.

The standard recommendation is to drink water up to eight 8-oz glasses a day. But it depends on your weight as well and the amount of work or physical labor you do. You have to regularly rotate your meals and drinking a lot of water, fooling your metabolism, in order to keep it running high and burning a lot of fat.

Deciding on your long term and short term goals is important as you will have a good idea where your fitness or diet plan would lead you towards. It is also important to understand that weight loss is not equivalent to fat loss from the body.

In any case, it is best to consult your doctor. You can also prepare a chart and carry the list of the food items on your diet program to your doctor and check if you can add or skip something from.

    True. Water therapy is the best way to hamper food addiction as this makes you feel full and is very great and healthy for the body. 8-10 glasses a day is recommended. I actually do this regimen as well and is effective for slimming down especially getting flat tummies. A healthy diet also goes a long way.
