Hoodia herb refers to Hoodia Gordonii succulent. Many people think of Hoodia as some herb that induces weight loss. Another common misconception about Hoodia Gordonii is that it is a cactus, because when you look at it has got a prickly appearance. Neither of these ideas is true, because Hoodia Gordonii is actually a succulent which grows in the Kalahari Desert.

Since then, there has been a lot of interest in this miracle weight-loss succulent which grows in the Desert, and which does not produce any side effects.ÂÂ
As people became interested in taking it for weight loss, there arose a huge market for companies producing weight loss supplements, because of this demand. In the process it became referred to in many ways such as Hoodia cactus, Desert Hoodia, African Hoodia and so on. All these terms mean Hoodia Gordonii, but they fall short of referring to it as a succulent. Hoodia Gordonii not available in its natural form in the retail market, but is available in the form of pills, liquids, patches, tea, coffee, shakes and so that people can use its appetite suppressing properties to achieve weight loss.ÂÂ
