This week The Sun newspaper has reported about a painless method of getting rid of fat… a special laser that literally ZAPS the fat out of you!
BOFFINS have invented a laser (Zerona laser) which ruptures the fat cells stored under the skin and aids slimming instantly.
How does Zerona Laser work?
The Zerona Laser emits cold laser energy which passes over the skin and breaks the fat cell membranes under the skin. This rupturing of fat cells results in leakage of fat stored in those cells which then moves out of the body naturally.
Thus Zerona laser therapy removes fat stored under the skin without damaging skin and tissues.
As per a study conducted, whose finding were put in front of American Society of Lasers in Medicine and Surgery in 2008, patients lost an average of 5-6 inches from their waists, hips and thighs in a matter of a few weeks.
It is a painless therapy and does not leave any scars on the skin.
How much Zerana Laser therapy costs?
It costs around £1000 (around $1500) for 6 forty minute sessions.
Zerona Laser side effects
As it is a new method of removing fat the long term effects are not known. In short run it is not likely to cause any side effects.
Zerona Laser is not for obese people!

This Zerona laser technique for weight loss sounds like a good idea. I’m glad you mentioned the technique only works for overweight people as opposed to obese individuals.
A bit pricey but it probably isn’t when you think about it. Considering the fact most people spend close to that amount cumulatively every year on gyms and weight loss devices, the zerona looks like a good deal.
My little concern is it might be abused if it actually works. Overweight people might see it as short-cut to burning fat. They may indulge in having multiple courses of the treatment within a year….and yet, long term effects remain unknown.
Still, it is a welcome addition to our arsenal of weight loss tools.

Hi this sounds great but when will it be available cause I have a wedding in October and would love to loose a few dress sizes. I’m currently weighing 107 kg does this make me obese or overweight. And would zerona be useful for me. I have tried endeomology and it’s great I’m 1 dress size smaller although it hasn’t affected my weight. Next I’m trying lippo dissolve and hopfully will get good results. I am only trying science because I tried the old fashioned way. Diet and exercise but got no results. My fat is stubborn may be due to the anti depressents I’m taking. But if anyone knows when it will be available in Australia that would be gr8.

it looks like it’s not a “cure” for fat removal, but a “help” to those eating well and exercising, like lyself. i have lost 65+ lbs since the fall and am considering this procedure to helkp with the stubborn fat around my abs/waist. i work out for 45 min – 1.5 hrs AT LEAST five times a week and eat LESS THAN 5g of saturated fat daily. i have worked hard to lose the weight and need just a little “help” to get rid of the final fat remnants of my “big girl” days.

This is for people who “CAN’T” exercise
I am not really fat (5’2” and had gained to 130 after turning 50). I eat very healthy (no processed foods, high lean protein and vegs and low carbs). I exercise (run 6.5 miles 4-5 times a week and walk my dog 30 min daily). No matter what I tried doing over the past 2 years as far as changing diet or trying to increase exercise, I could not take off the weight around my mid-section. I had 9 zerona laser treatments by Dr. Haas in Charlotte NC. I was a good patient: drank my water, gave up coffee and alcohol and took my supplements. After 3 weeks I had lost 10 lbs and a total of 9 inches ( 3 off waist, 3.5 off hips and 1.25 off thighs). I dropped from a size 6 regular to a 4 petite. I am so glad that I did not read the negative reviews beforehand and that I spent the money. I only wish my thighs were a little tighter ( I want 20 year old legs which may not be realistic). But they look 75% better. He has given me the body I had 5 years ago and I am so happy!!!
I have been using the Zerona Laser in my office for over 1 1/2 yrs. This laser WORKS!
The Key to making sure that the Laser is effective is to make sure the person really qualifies for the laser.
I turn away a lot of people who do not qualify.
What make you qualify or not? Good Question.
There are many factors that go into qualifying for care on the Zerona Laser. Some of the major ones are.
1. How soft the fat is. Soft fat comes off easy with the laser. (I have had some lose up to 7 inches in one visit.)
2. The person is well hydrated. The number one cause of a person not losing weight when they try is – sub-clinical dehydration. If you are all dried out your body goes into crisis and hold on to all the fat it can.
3. They cant have gained more than 15 pounds in 6 months. I can take a person and shrink them down with the laser – “Pencil thin” But if they are continually putting on more weight it is a waste to do this procedure.
We use body composition once per week that someone is on the program. If there go up in body fat – IT’S DIET. We recommend they take a hard look at what they are doing – they are causing their own problem.
Yesterday I had a lady who did our program – 18 visits – she lost over 19 inches. YUP – OVER NINETEEN! – Her 3rd week and her last week she actually went up in inches between visit. (and she still lost 19 inches by the end – would have been much higher) I sat down with her and let her know what she was doing. She is now making changes.
KEY: IF YOU CANT CONTROL YOUR EATING – DONT BLAME THE LASER FOR LACK OF RESULTS!
4. The exception the the above is people with uncontrolled hormonal problems.(meaning that it is not dietary habit that caused the problem.) THis will also cause you to gain weight. If that is the case – do not start a program of care. Seek out someone who is doing functional nutrition. They can often help you get better without drugs or surgery – using natural methods that really work.
5. As a test I start every new patient out with one FREE visit. I use it as a test. If they do not lose 1/2 inch or more I do not let them go on the Laser program. I require that they start one of our nutrition programs.
That way I have 100% confidence and the patient has 100% confidence that it will work before we even start the program.
I have found that if you follow these simple guidelines your will make great results on the Zerona Laser.

Hello. I was wondering if someone would be able to answer this question. I have an appointment with a doctor about the Zerona procedure. I had Cushings syndrome which caused my weight gain. I had surgery to remove the tumor which caused the weight gain. Along with the weight I am dealing with some edema issues. I read that the fat gets removed by the lymph system. I was wondering since my system is compromised will this system be less effective for me? Thanks.

I did 6 treatments & only lost inches in my wallet. I am not overweight, just wanted to tone a few areas. I was asked to sign a waiver that stated I wasn’t guaranteed results. This was a bad idea. I did everything required, the curva supplements, exersize, drink plenty of water etc. In the end I actually put on a pound and my measurements stayed the same. I’m very upset that I wasted money I will never get back. Please take my advice: If it sounds too good to be true then it is & Zerona a ‘so-called painless, effortless way to lose weight is TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!

I won a Bid on Charlotte with Dr. Haas for 12 zerona treatments. It was a waste of time and money.

I lost 10 pounds and 10 inches with Dr Haas last summer and I am planning to go back again this month.
All I can say it works
I did 6 treatments lost 9 inch total most from my waist
I did do treadmill 1 hour a day and watched what I ate
But when I stopped doing exercise and ate unwisely it all came back
Now I’m going back for more treatments
Man, I am furious! This is the worst I have ever been ripped off in my life! 9 treatments, $3000 later and no perceivable inches lost! No one sees a difference in me! Their whole method of measuring you is a complete con. By measuring in several different places, and pulling the tape tighter on the final measurement/session and then adding up all the figures they make it look as if I lost 5 inches and yet my weight is the same and the circumference around my waist is also the same as before I started treatment! Nuts! Surely there has to be a class action lawsuit against this company? I went to premier Fitness in Milton, Onatrio in Canada for my treatment and just had my last session last week. They were indignant and rude to me when I informed them that I don’t believe that their treatment worked. What should I do? I cannot afford a lawyer
ZERONA DOES NOT WORK AS ADVERTISED. During treatment and for months after the treatments were complete, I exercised and dieted with Weights Watchers, drank lots of water and took Curva as recommended. Did not lose a single inch or pound. Clothes still fit very tight. Measuring was bogus (first measure was loose, final measure was tight). Requested free extension of services since the laser treatment didn’t have positive results. They said I must not be honest with my dieting or exercise and quickly shuffled me out the door. Save yourself and stay clear of this faux weight loss solution.
Today was my last session, after allowing me to take an extra 3 sessions after agreeing to12( the office was very nice) I lost 6 inches distributed throughout my body and 1lbs. Not only was it so disappointing, I feel worse then I did before my treatment started.I did everything that was asked, I normally don’t drink water- but I did, I took the Curva, watched what I ate and stayed away from all fried foods and alcohol and still nothing. I am 5’4 and weigh 163lbs. My advice to anyone thinking of doing Zerona- keep your money in your pocket, get a membership to a gym do something other then Zerona. I can’t use the excuse of hormonal problems or lack of water or not eating properly i followed the rules. My money is gone unfortunately my weight is not! I can’t wait to have a beer again.
